+:: A "Classical Extension" is a PTSN phone number. In order to reach PTSN, you need a Trunk. That's why the sentence says "An extension on a Trunk is a Classical Extension". This differs from a SIP extension which does not need a trunk. Technically you could setup PBXes with several SIP extensions, no trunks, and just call from 1 extension to the other. What about reveiving sip calls? IE, use gizmo or fwd and call [email protected] or [email protected]? Can that be set up?

[edit] classical extension

I'm kind of new to PBXes.org, so I don't know a WHOLE lot. But it seems to me an extension is NOT "on a trunk." An extension is just an extension; it's not associated with a trunk. A call from a trunk may be routed to an extension, but it's not on the trunk itself, is it?

A "Classical Extension" is a PTSN phone number.
