Hi, Just a question about logs when setting up an internal call with a Snom 821 firmware 8.7.5.35 Call starts in g722 format then it changes to ulaw but why? The g722 frames are dropped Format changes again before the actual audio is transmitted. VERBOSE[34112] logger.c: Capabilities: us - 0x18161e (gsm|ulaw|alaw|g726|speex|ilbc|g722|h263|h263p), peer - audio=0x1000 (g722)/video=0x0 (nothing), combined - 0x1000 (g722) VERBOSE[57757] chan_sip.c: Oooh, format changed to 4 NOTICE[57757] channel.c: Dropping incompatible voice frame on SIP/ of format g722 since our native format has changed to ulaw NOTICE[57757] channel.c: Dropping incompatible voice frame on SIP/ of format g722 since our native format has changed to ulaw VERBOSE[57757] chan_sip.c: Oooh, format changed to 4096
It seems your Snom is sending ulaw frames which makes PBXes switch over to ulaw. You can find more details by recording a Wireshark trace on your LAN.
Resolved with downgrade to firmware 8.4.35
