Daumen runter! Dnd Keeps Activating Itself Post Reply with Quote Edit/Delete Post Report Post to a Moderator       IP Information Go to the top of this page

Hello everyone,

DND KEEPS ON activating itself somehow. Everytime I try and call inbound it doesnt ring, I call *79 to DEACT DND. Try making inbound call again it works.

However, within minutes...YET AGAIN...DND needs deactivating to receive calls.

I AM NOT paying for support as this is CLEARLY an issue with PBXes not me.

ANY IDEAS?

***UPDATE*** i have worked out that after deactivating "do not disturb" i can receive 1 call ONLY... THEN it activates.

Thats an interesting one,
Are you sure its pbxes thats the problem ? ATAs like Linksys SPA units can also use *78 and *79 for DND, processing it themselves without passing it on to pbxes. Have you tried a different client, just an idea as you don't give much info.

Cheers for the reply,

It is indeed a strange one.

My setup is using a PAP2:
with CFWD settings wiped off out of the regional codes etc....
with DND settings wiped off out of the regional codes etc...

So in respect to the act/deact codes for DND, it is being passed to pbxes. To confirm this i get the pbxes message "Do not disturb deactivated" when dialling *79

ok, if pbxes reports that its activating and deactivating DND successfully then I guess you'll have to wait for IPTel to look into it.
Sorry I can't help

I'm only aware of the system log and associated sip trace.
Just a thought, could you restore your account to a previous state on the Personal Data page and the restore function ?

It sounds strange indeed. Why are you thinking of DND to be the reason? Please check if calling out once, to a different number e.g. *43 for an echo test, also makes you reachable for the next incoming.

Yes doing the above works, I dont need to test as i already figured this out previous. I am thinking DND to be the reason as after calling *79 do deact DND. the next call works.

Are you sure that your PAP2 is remaining registered, can you make your 1 successful call after waiting a while or does it have to be made immediately.
Maybe an issue with PAP2 keepalive / router ?
